Home was more than shelter.كان البيت أكثر من مجرد مأوى.

Fatima remembers a home surrounded by green land, meals prepared in her own kitchen, visits with relatives, and taking Hiba to the beach and amusement park. Her husband worked to support their household. These were the ordinary rhythms of their family’s life.تتذكر فاطمة بيتًا تحيط به أرض خضراء، ووجبات تعدّها في مطبخها، وزيارات للأقارب، واصطحاب هبة إلى الشاطئ ومدينة الملاهي. كان زوجها يعمل لإعالة الأسرة. كانت هذه تفاصيل حياتهم اليومية المعتادة.

A journey of repeated displacement.رحلة من النزوح المتكرر.

In her account to Aaron, Fatima describes losing her home and moving repeatedly between schools, tents and other places of shelter. She estimates that she has been displaced around fifteen times. The exact dates of those moves are still being clarified.تصف فاطمة في حديثها مع آرون فقدان بيتها وتنقّلها المتكرر بين المدارس والخيام وأماكن أخرى للإيواء. وتقدّر أنها نزحت نحو خمس عشرة مرة. ولا تزال التواريخ الدقيقة لهذه التنقلات قيد التوضيح.

She describes the strain of finding food and clean water, protecting belongings from rain, and trying to make a small shelter feel like somewhere a family can live. Among these difficult experiences, Fatima has also shared moments of happiness. In September 2026 she described buying school supplies with Hiba and her daughter coming home happy after her first day back at school.وسط هذه التجارب الصعبة، شاركت فاطمة أيضًا لحظات من الفرح. ففي سبتمبر ٢٠٢٦، تحدثت عن شراء مستلزمات المدرسة مع هبة، وعن عودة ابنتها إلى البيت سعيدة بعد أول يوم لها عند العودة إلى المدرسة.

Food, schooling and the chance for ordinary family life are part of what she hopes support can help make possible. Her needs will be reviewed with her before a live support circle begins.الطعام والتعليم وفرصة عيش حياة عائلية عادية هي بعض ما تأمل أن يتيحه الدعم. وستُراجع احتياجاتها معها قبل بدء دائرة دعم فعلية.

A Wandering Sadhu Storyقصة من Wandering Sadhu

Before the war, Fatima had a home.قبل الحرب، كان لفاطمة بيت.

There were family meals, birthdays, familiar streets, and all the little moments that make up a life.كانت هناك وجبات عائلية، وأعياد ميلاد، وشوارع مألوفة، وكل تلك اللحظات الصغيرة التي تشكّل الحياة.

These photographs offer a glimpse of the world she knew.تمنحنا هذه الصور لمحة عن العالم الذي كانت تعرفه.

Then the war changed everything.ثم جاءت الحرب وغيّرت كل شيء.

This is footage of Fatima's family home after it was bombed.هذه لقطات لبيت عائلة فاطمة بعد تعرضه للقصف.

At this point, the home was damaged, but it was still standing.في تلك المرحلة، كان البيت متضررًا، لكنه كان لا يزال قائمًا.

Later, it was completely destroyed.وفي وقت لاحق، دُمّر بالكامل.

Since then, Fatima and her family have faced repeated displacement.منذ ذلك الحين، واجهت فاطمة وعائلتها نزوحًا متكررًا.

Today, ordinary things like washing clothes, preparing food, and caring for children take place in makeshift living conditions.اليوم، تجري أمور عادية مثل غسل الملابس وإعداد الطعام ورعاية الأطفال في ظروف معيشية مؤقتة وغير مهيأة.

But Fatima is more than what has happened to her.لكن فاطمة ليست مجرد ما حدث لها.

I live in Australia, and over time, I've come to know Fatima through our conversations.أعيش في أستراليا، ومع مرور الوقت تعرّفت إلى فاطمة من خلال أحاديثنا.

I've confirmed her identity, and we're in constant contact.لقد تأكدت من هويتها، ونحن على تواصل مستمر.
